    UFA Co-operative celebrates groundbreaking in Red Deer

    Officially kicking off the site build in its new Gasoline Alley location

    Over the past year, UFA has shared many exciting announcements, including its expansion into Saskatchewan, upgrades to Petroleum sites and refreshes at many of its Farm & Ranch Supply stores.
    In February, it announced the relocation of the Red Deer Farm & Ranch Supply store and Cardlock to a more accessible spot in Gasoline Alley. Today, representatives from the County, the City of Red Deer and the Co-operative donned shovels and broke ground at the new site.
    • The new 16,000 square foot farm store will have 12,000 square feet of retail space and an expansive yard to serve the community, including a three-bay drive-through warehouse and chem shed.
    • The future Farm Store and Cardlock will be conveniently located in Gasoline Alley in the southwest corner of the city, easily accessible for drivers travelling either way on the QE2 and those on the west side coming from Highway 2A.

    The groundbreaking event officially signals the start of construction of the new build, with an anticipated opening in early 2025. UFA’s current Farm & Ranch Supply store and Cardlock will remain open during construction. Once the new site opens, UFA will close the current Red Deer Farm & Ranch Supply store. The Bar W office and shop will continue to operate from its current location, as will the current Cardlock.
